How to Prepare

  1. Rinse 2 cups of alfalfa seeds thoroughly under running water to remove any debris.
  2. Place the rinsed seeds in a sprouting jar or tray.
  3. Cover the seeds with 4-6 cups of cool water and let them soak for 8-12 hours.
  4. After soaking, drain the water completely using a colander or the sprouting jar lid.
  5. Rinse the seeds with fresh water twice daily (morning and evening), ensuring to drain well each time to prevent mold growth.
  6. Place the jar or tray in a well-ventilated area with indirect sunlight.
  7. Continue rinsing and draining for 3-5 days until the sprouts reach the desired length (about 1-2 inches).
  8. Once fully sprouted, give a final rinse and drain thoroughly.
  9. Store the sprouts in a clean, dry container in the refrigerator.
  10. Serve fresh as a salad topping, in sandwiches, or as a garnish.
