How to Prepare
Cut the cauliflower into small florets and rinse them thoroughly under running water.
In a mixing bowl, combine cornflour, rice flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, ginger-garlic paste, and salt. Add a little water to make a thick batter.
Add the cauliflower florets to the batter and mix well to coat evenly.
Heat oil in a large wok or frying pan over medium heat. Deep fry the battered cauliflower florets in batches until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
In the same wok, reduce the oil to 2 tablespoons. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions, green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.
Add crushed black pepper, salt, and the fried cauliflower florets. Toss everything together on high heat for 2-3 minutes.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot as a starter.
