How to Prepare

  1. Rinse the little millet thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear to remove any impurities.
  2. In a pressure cooker, add the rinsed little millet and water in a 1:2.5 ratio (5 cups millet to 12.5 cups water).
  3. Add a pinch of salt and 2 tablespoons of ghee or oil to enhance flavor and prevent sticking.
  4. Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook on medium heat for 2 whistles.
  5. Once the pressure releases naturally, open the lid and fluff the millet with a fork.
  6. Serve hot with sambar, chutney, or any curry of your choice.
