How to Prepare

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 10 cups of all-purpose flour
  2. 2 cups of crumbled paneer
  3. 2 tsp salt
  4. 2 tsp baking powder, and 4 tbsp ghee.
  5. Gradually add 3-4 cups of water to form a soft, pliable dough. Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  6. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  7. After resting, divide the dough into 40 equal portions and roll each portion into a small ball.
  8. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat for deep frying.
  9. Roll each dough ball into a flat, round disc (about 5-6 inches in diameter) using a rolling pin.
  10. Carefully slide the rolled dough into the hot oil and fry until it puffs up and turns golden brown on both sides (about 1-2 minutes per side).
  11. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain excess oil on paper towels.
  12. Serve hot with chole or any curry of your choice.
