How to Prepare
Cut paneer into 1-inch cubes and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, prepare the marinade by combining 4 tbsp cornflour
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp black pepper, and a pinch of salt with water to form a thick batter.
Coat the paneer cubes in the batter and let them rest for 10 minutes.
Heat oil in a wok or deep fryer over medium-high heat and fry the paneer cubes until golden brown. Remove and set aside on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
In the same wok, heat 2 tbsp oil over high heat. Add 2 tbsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp chopped ginger, and 4-5 chopped green chilies. Sauté for 1 minute.
Add 2 large diced onions
2 diced bell peppers (green, red, or yellow), and sauté for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender but still crunchy.
In a small bowl, mix 4 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp chili sauce
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp sugar, and 1/2 tsp black pepper. Add this sauce mixture to the wok and stir well.
Add the fried paneer cubes to the wok and toss everything together to coat the paneer with the sauce. Cook for 2 minutes on high heat.
Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot as a starter.
