How to Prepare

  1. Grind the soaked green moong dal, rice, green chilies, ginger, and cumin seeds into a smooth batter with minimal water.
  2. Add salt to the batter and mix well. The consistency should be similar to dosa batter.
  3. Heat a non-stick tawa or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
  4. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the center of the tawa and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin dosa.
  5. Sprinkle finely chopped onions, green chilies, and coriander leaves on top of the dosa.
  6. Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges and cook until the bottom turns golden brown (about 2-3 minutes).
  7. Flip the dosa and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the other side.
  8. Remove from the tawa and serve hot with coconut chutney or ginger chutney.
  9. Repeat the process for the remaining batter.
